Material Handler

POSITION TITLE:  Material Handler (includes Loader, Packers, Assemblers, Order Pullers, Machine Operators, Hand Tool Operators, C&C Operators, Glazers, Welders, Cleaners, Inventory Control, Febricators and Material Inspector)                             

REPORTS TO:  Non-Exempt            

 SUMMARY: Responsible for unloading product deliveries, maintaining stock in the warehouse, and moving stock and other materials to fulfill orders.

REQUIREMENTS:

• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Occupational Safety & Health Administration (OSHA) forklift certification strongly preferred.
• Availability to work overtime hours, weekends and holidays preferred
• Mathematical: Ability to add/subtract 2 digit numbers and multiply/divide 10’s and 100’s.
• Certified for fork lift operation.
• RF Experience
• Able to lift up to 50 lbs. stand/walk continuously and perform physical tasks

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Load and unload delivery trucks and make sure each incoming delivery matches the company purchase order
• Prepares finished stock for shipment by identifying, pulling, packing, crating, loading, and securing product.
• Load and unload inventory from loading docks, delivery trucks, storage and production areas
• Operates various machinery including brooms, forklifts, measuring tape and other machines as required
• Analyze order sheets based on client orders and pull appropriate product for each order
• Comply with all safety and health regulations
• Uses measuring tape
• Performs other duties as assigned

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand; use hands and finger to handle objects, or controls; reach with hand and arms.  The employee frequently is required to walk and stand.  The employee is occasionally required to stop, kneel or crouch.  The employee must be able to stand and bend for up to ten hours.  The employee must regularly lift a/o move up to 10 lbs., frequently lift a/o move up to 25 lbs., and occasionally lift a/o move up to 75 lbs.
